Support Live Arts and Music Education...Save your local Symphony Orchestra!

Prodigy Instruments is aware of the growing epidemic with symphony orchestras across the country struggling to stay alive due to great financial hardships!

Prodigy Instruments is already committed to helping the National Philharmonic in Rockville Maryland (NPRM) and the Virginia Symphony (VSO) by donating a portion of our sales from our customers who want to specifically help them!

Each dollar generated through this program is being used for the National Philharmonic's "All Kids, All Free, All The Time" program.

In the "basket" you can select which orchestra should receive the donation.

Prodigy is willing to help your local symphony orchestra too by donating a percentage of designated sales back to your symphony orchestra!

Simply bring your symphony who needs help to our attention so that we can contact them and register that organization with the Prodigy Instruments Philharmonic Donation Project.

For a limited time customers who buy products from Prodigy Instruments can designate 10% of each instrument and case sale, 5% of each strings and accessory sale, and 3% of rentals as long as the total amounts to at least $50, back to that symphony orchestra that needs your help! You only need to register your orchestra and link your orchestra's web page to www.prodigyinstruments.com so that the orchestra members can easily take advantage of the donation program.

Contact us to have your symphony added to the list now!

Hope to hear about your orchestra soon!

Details about the Prodigy Instruments Symphony Donation Project

How do I donate money to my orchestra?

At any time while browsing our web site, you can select an orchestra to donate money to. As soon as you selected an orchestra, you will see in the basket exactly how much of your purchase will be donated.

How much exactly of my sale will you donate?

Prodigy Instruments will donate 10% of each instrument sale, and 5% of each strings and accessory sale over $50, tax, shipping and handling excluded. Featured items excluded.

When will my orchestra get the donation?

At the end of every month,Prodigy Instruments will issue checks to the orchestras that customers opted to donated money to.

Can I change orchestra?

You can change orchestra at any time during the purchase process. The donation is registered when you click the button to process the order. The order confirmation will indicate exactly how much of the sale was donated.

To whom exactly will you send the donation?

We send the checks to the contact person for the particular orchestra, typically the treasurer.

My orchestra is not in the list, can I add it?

You can always add a new orchestra (click here) as long as you provide some basic information about it so that you can complete your purchase. Prodigy Instruments will contact the orchestra and obtain necessary information so that we can complete the donation. You can also forward this information (click here) to your orchestra's contact person and ask that person to contactProdigy Instruments so that we can register the orchestra with the donation program.

What kinds of orchestras are eligible to participate in the donation program?

At this time, we focus on symphony orchestras. If you have any questions regarding whether your orchestra is eligible, please contact us at robert@prodigyinstruments.com.

Why should I donate any money?

First, it doesn't cost you a nickel! The donation is deducted from Prodigy Instrument's profit.
Second, we believe that supporting orchestras is a win-win for everybody.

If I can't donate money to my High School Orchestra, why should I care about Symphony Orchestras?

Because just about every symphony orchestra does musical programs for the schools, often without any reimbursement, this is a way to say thanks and "pay back". In addition, if the symphony orchestras disappear because of lack of money, the important service to the schools will disappear too!

I thought Symphony Orchestras had a lot of money....

The fact is that it takes a lot of money to run a Symphony Orchestra. Public funding is fading, which is a growing threat to the longevity of these orchestras. Therefore,  donation programs like the Prodigy Instruments Philharmonic Donation Program,  are becoming more and more important.

Do I have to donate money to my orchestra?

No, you can donate to any orchestra in the list.

Do I have to donate money to an orchestra in order to purchase from Prodigy Instruments?

No, donating money is entirely optional.

If your question was not in this list, please contact us at robert@prodigyinstruments.com with your question.
